Q: Rates are always changing, how do we keep your software current?

A: Quomation updates our products very regularly, in most cases PowerQuote is updated every week. These updates are available via the internet from within PowerQuote with just a few mouse clicks. If you accidentally miss an update, simply download the most recent version and you are ready to quote.
 

Q: Most of my insurance companies quote online; do I still need a comparative rater?

A: Comparative raters save time and money. In less time than it takes to get a single quote online, PowerQuote can accurately generate a quote for every one of your companies – whether you write for five companies or twenty-five companies or more. In addition, PowerQuote will manage your workflow by standardizing the quote process. With lead tracking and other statistics, PowerQuote also manages the marketing side of your agency, not just the policy side like most agency management systems.
 

Q: I don’t like to enter information in twice for carriers that quote online. Can I bridge from my comparative rater to my insurance carrier who is doing online quoting?

A: PowerQuote supports bridging for most carriers in our comparative rating system to upload quoting information or even applications electronically. This reduces or eliminates costly double entry of data. Most bridges are included in either PowerQuote or the carriers software and do not require separate installation. Bridges are specific to the state or version of software you are using and a complete list of carrier bridges for the PowerQuote version you are using can be found in the Stategic Partners section of our web page.
 

Q: Can I share quotes with others in my office?

A: Yes, if your office is networked. To enhance speed and reliability, PowerQuote is locally installed on every machine. However, PowerQuote will share a single database making it possible to not only view your own quotes, but everyone else’s quotes that are on the network. PowerForms also shares the ACORD forms in the same manner.
 

Q: How much does technical support and training cost?

A: Support and training are always provided free of charge. Software updates are billed quarterly and include on-going support and training to help you make the most of your software.
 

Q: How can you get accurate rates when carriers use credit scoring?

A: Quomation has used integrated credit scoring since 2001. For participating companies, PowerQuote will go to ChoicePoint and other third party providers of financial responsibility data and when possible pull the insurance score information into the comparative rater giving you an exact rate based on these factors. More and more, the companies using credit scoring are beginning to participate in our integrated credit and real-time rating products.
 

Q: How many carriers do you have on your rater and do I buy the rates for each carrier individually?

A: The number of carriers on PowerQuote varies from state to state and is constantly changing. Please contact Quomation directly for the most recent list. With PowerQuote, you are given all of the rates for all of the carriers. For ease-of-use you can individually select only the rates or tiers that you want to show.
 

Q: I currently use a forms management program for my ACORD forms, how can PowerQuote help me with my ACORD forms?

A: PowerForms, with most of the ACORD forms and applications that you use everyday, is included with PowerQuote. After you quote a client you can click a button sending all of the information from the quote into the ACORD form. This auto-fill feature allows you to fill out a vehicle Insurance ID Card (ACORD #50) or other form in a fraction of the time of traditional options.
